Careers Guidance

All pupils have access to impartial and personalised careers guidance to support them in making informed decisions about their future.

Following each meeting, pupils receive a personalised careers action plan tailored to their individual interests, strengths and future goals.

How to Book

Careers guidance is available to all pupils, with priority given to those in Key Stage 4.

Careers guidance meetings can be arranged by:

  • Speaking to a member of staff
  • Contacting the Careers Lead
  • Requesting a meeting through school

What Happens in a Session

During a careers guidance meeting, pupils will:

  • Explore interests, strengths and goals
  • Discuss post-16 options
  • Identify next steps
  • Create a personalised action plan

Confidentiality

Careers guidance discussions are confidential.

However, information may be shared with relevant staff where necessary to ensure appropriate support and safeguarding.

Pupils are always asked for consent before any information is shared, unless there are safeguarding concerns.

Example Action Plan
